"Street Symphony" is a song by American R&B singer Monica, written and produced by Dallas Austin for her second studio album The Boy Is Mine (1998). It was released in US as the album's fourth single in mid-to-late 1999, and peaked at number 50 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. The orchestral background in the song was performed by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The video, directed by Darren Grant, received limited airplay on BET and MTV. "Street Symphony" is her first song that did not chart in the top ten.

Music video

The music video for Street Symphony takes place at night in a poor city. In the video; Monica is shown wearing several dark outfits whilst singing different sections of the song. Included are cuts of Monica & her female back-up dancers performing choreography in black leather & musicians playing instruments (violin) in dark clothing. The video is mainly composed of dark greys & blues despite black being a recurring colour.
